On her birthday, Thuso Mbedu received a lot of love, and thanked everyone with a heartfelt note.
“Yooooo… what a wholesome day. I’m not one to rate my birthdays but this is definitely my fave to date. From waking up at 4am because we had an early call time to having my family on set and having “Happy Birthday” be sung on numerous occasions starting with @alisonjoliver in the makeup trailer while I was half alive 🤣🤣😂🤣🫶🏾 to everyone being doubly amazing. My heart is pumping custard 😭
I have so much more to say but I’ll stop there,”“I generally don’t answer phone calls on my birthday 😅 (back in my youth I’d switch my phone off the whole day so if I missed your call today it’s because I have a habit of forgetting where my phone is on my birthday 🙈) I haven’t had a chance to open my text and WhatsApp messages but I’d like to extend my heartfelt thank you to every single person who has taken the time to wish me a happy birthday today. I appreciate it. This was legit the BEST start to my Jesus year #33,”
