I Am Celine Dion is a tough watch of the singer’s struggles with the rare disorder, Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).
In her documentary about her battle to get back on stage, the Canadian singing sensation gives fans a glimpse of her painful condition as she endures a full body spasm, leaving her unable to move or speak.
The 56-year old “Queen of Power Ballads” was diagnosed with the neurological disorder, stiff person syndrome 2-years ago, forcing her to cancel her 2023 worldwide tours.
Celine’s condition causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms which come and go, and can worsen with time.
There remains no cure for the disease, and despite efforts to try to find ways to treat her condition, the multi-Grammy award-winning artist is now trying accept her circumstances.
Those who have watched the singer’s documentary have lauded her courage to share her daily struggles with the painful disorder, and her strength to get up and attempt to sing immediately after enduring a fully body spasm.
Celine breaks down a number of times in the documentary as she comes to the realisation that her body and voice is deteriorating and she may never sing again.
I Am Celine Dion is a tough watch but is currently the Number 1 movie on Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
With her music career spanning 30-years, Celine is one of the most instantly recognizable, well-liked, and successful musicians in pop music history with more than 250 million records sold worldwide.
