There’s just 4 days left to register for the World Literacy Foundation who are looking for Youth Ambassadors in Johannesburg.
This initiative aims to provide young people between the ages of 15 and 25 with tools in communication, fundraising, leadership, and advocacy through a four-month online training program so that they can help bring about change in their communities through literacy.
“Learning is a great experience in life, and we should use it to help people worldwide. I would recommend joining the WLF program because of the experiences you gain through the module tasks, information about WLF and othr changemakers’ stories and understanding the experiences of like-minded young people you meet from al over the world that you are still connected with, even after the program.”
Christian Olson McCormack a 17-year old who completed the World Literacy Foundation’s Youth Ambassador Program
This role provides a unique platform for the youth of Johannesburg to address falling reading skills rates and expand community education and awareness about the importance of foundational literacy skills.
The four-month youth leadership development initiative will offer comprehensive training and support and connect participants with 2,400 other people worldwide.
