Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son, King Combs has come out in his defensiveness of his father amid allegations of muliple sexual lawsuits agains him.
King is so protective of his father that he went so far as to write a song, in which he defends his father and disses Diddy’s rivals.
Taking it a tad further the Siz the World team discussed the relationship between parents and their kids, posing the question ‘what lengths would one go to protect their parents?
One has to be mindful, because not everyone has a good relationship their parents, or you may find a child is closer to one than the other.
Navigating the dynamics between parent and child can be tricky, and while at times it may seem like you don’t take a vested interest in your parent’s lives, if someone were to threaten you parents or trying come betwwen you, you would most likely jump to your parents’ defence.
One of the ways a child, (regardless of age) will defend our parents is by justifying their conduct.
“They raised their voice at me because I wasn’t listening.”
“They reacted harshly because I always get hyper-emotional and am childish.”
Does this make it okay to justify your parents’ actions like it’s gospel.
