An anonymous listener shares that she recently found out that her husband has been cheating and fathered a child outside their marriage.
When the child turned 6 months old, her husband suggested that they take care of the baby, as his mother is irresponsible.
Struggling to forgive her husband for his infidelity, she wants to know from fellow Best T in the City listeners if there are any blind spots she could be overlooking.
“Last year I found out that my husband had been cheating on me and had a child from that woman. He apologized for this and when the child was 6 months old my husband told me that he wanted us to raise the boy as his mother is for the streets. I said No, but one day he showed up
with the child and he has been living with us ever since.“We have a live-in nanny, so she has pretty much been the one looking after the child. I honestly could care less about the child; I don’t even carry him. One thing though, our girls love him so much, Uncle T.
“Like they never stop talking about him they are always carrying and playing with him. I am angry at my husband for not only cheating but also for bringing a child into our home. I am finding it hard to forgive him, but the boy isn’t going anywhere.
“Should I just open my heart and allow myself to be a mother to this boy for my family’s sake? At times I just want to pack my things and go. Besides this, he is a good husband and father. I am so confused and hurt. How do I forgive him for this?”
