The country is still reeling from Tokyo Sexwale’s media briefing held yesterday where the ANC veteran held firm on his claims about the controversial Heritage Fund.
Addressing the media, Tokyo was clear in his messaging, “Don’t tell me I’ve been scammed!’ The businessman said he had been stonewalled previously by top tiers of government whenever he alerted them about the alleged money laundering.
The lengthy media briefing sent shockwaves throughout the media industry as Tokyo detailed that the fund he first spoke of in an eNCA interview, is owned by an Asian investor.
Tokyo detailed that he had tried to communicate with Cyril Ramaphosa but that the President had blue ticked him.
Tito Mboweni was called out as well, “failure to report a crime is a crime,” this is Tokyo’s response about the Finance Minister’s inability to react to Tokyo’s accusations.
Mboweni took to Twitter in a series of controversial posts, one of which seemed to hit back at Tokyo calling him ‘unhinged.’
Do not laugh at the unhinged, be sympathetic and reach out. We all face challenges from time to time! Sometimes, people suffer from delusions of grandeur. Be supportive and they will come right.

While there is no mention of Tokyo in the tweets, Tito shared the posts directly after the media briefing. In another tweet, Mboweni took things a little too far with an analogy about pigs and mudslinging.
There is an old age saying that says that: “Do not wrestle with pigs in the mud, the pig’s home”. Stay out!!
