The internationally recognised South African singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and teacher learnt about the value of money from an early age. Growing up, her dad worked as a driver and her mom was a domestic worker, so life wasn’t easy.
When her father died, her mother brought up Yvonne and her two sisters on her meager salary of R40 a month.

“For me, money was something that you have to work hard for and something you have to respect. It doesn’t grow on trees. Money talks. When you have money, things happen for you.”
