As part of the government’s S’thesha Waya Waya e-recruitment effort, the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) has welcomed almost 4,000 new employees.
An online job search and application site is made available to job searchers through the province government’s S’thesha Waya Waya initiative. According to her, most of the new hires, including middle and senior managers as well as professional officers, will start working on April 1, 2024.
At a meeting, Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, the CoGTA MEC, gave new hires their employment letters. By streamlining the application process, the MEC reaffirmed the government’s commitment to generating long-term employment opportunities.
She stated that although traditional CV submissions are still accepted, the majority of applications are sent online via S’thesha Waya Waya.
“We still have more positions that have been advertised, and we encourage job seekers to utilise the platform by visiting the department website and logging onto the job portal. It is an easy and cost-effective method; we want to support job seekers in securing employment,”
