Patients were taken by different ambulance services to different hospitals on Tuesday after a multiple-vehicle accident on the N14 near Centurion resulted in twenty-four people suffering from minor to serious injuries.
The incident happened on Tuesday just before 8 a.m., when a truck and many other cars collided close to the R55 in Thatchfield, according to the Tshwane emergency services department.
Charles Mabaso, a spokesman for the department, reported to the media that witnesses had counted eighteen automobiles involved in the collision.
He also added that the N14, direction north, is completely closed to traffic and advised motorists to use alternative routes until further notice.
