SA Weather service warns of a heatwave in most parts of the country
The heatwave warning comes with a high danger of fires particularly over the northen, and eastern cape as well as the North West and Free State.
While the weather service says isolated evening showers are expected to bring relief on some days this week, heatstroke and dehydration are a concern.
Residents in Johannesburg and Pretoria are advised to stay out of the sun between 11h00 and 15h00, when the sun is at its harshest.
Those working outdoors should try to stay in cool, shady areas to avoid heat cramps, heatstroke and heat exhaustion.
