Students in grade 12 receive LED lights from TT Mbha.
TT Mbha recently launched a Back to School campaign, where he gave Grade 12 students LED lights as a backup when load shedding strikes.
Through his TT Mbha community drive, he has been pleading with the Soweto community to donate shoes, sneakers, heels, and LED lanterns to assist Grade 12 learners as they commence the year.
Mbha shared photos of a recent community drive where he delivered the LED lights.
“I’m on a very intentional and purpose-driven mission to handover as many LED lanterns to as many grade 12 township learners as I possibly can, so they can study through loadshedding💡We’ve handed over more than 350 lanterns thus far, but I can’t do it alone🙏Let’s all play our part in investing in the future of our country🇿🇦#TTMbhaCommunityDrive” wrote TT Mbha,

Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, the minister of electricity, was questioned recently about the possibility of exempting schools from load shedding.
Although schools cannot be completely protected from power outages, he stated that attempts are being made to manage blackouts during the evening hours.
“It’s very difficult to exempt all schools because they I mean if you come to think of it ,if you map the density of the geographic locations of these schools you’ll find that the highest densities of these schools are located in areas of a significant amount of load shedding.”
