WATCH: Justin Timberlake gets the crowd going with a performance of Tyla’s “Water”.
South African artist Tyla’s song “Water” was recently performed by American singer-songwriter and record producer Justin Timberlake at an event for African Americans in Memphis.
The song which has broken multiple SA records is well-loved across the globe. Tyla has had a fantastic year in 2023, starting with the release of Water, which catapulted her into international stardom.
Tyla also kickstarted 2024 with some massive announcements. Most recently former President Barack Obama added Tyla’s “Water” to his annual playlist.

She is presently nominated for multiple awards, such as iHeartRadio Awards and the Grammys, and is also scheduled to perform at Coachella 2024
