Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana star, Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane, has successfully obtained his coaching A diploma in Botswana. Letsholonyane took to social media to share this thrilling news with his fans.
“And the year started with a BANG,” said the former soccer player. “Three years straight of self empowerments, acquiring knowledge, traveling, sleepless nights and and and.. It all paid off in the end.”
Letsholonyane’s former Kaizer Chiefs teammate, Itumeleng Khune was handed a one-year extension on his contract at the beginning of this season.
The new contract sees Khune play for Amakhosi for one final season.
The club noted that while Khune will be involved in training and preparations for matches as a player, he “will also use this year to broaden his technical acumen, as he transitions into a new coaching and ambassadorial role working with the marketing division at the Club.”
Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. hopes Khune will pass on his experience to the younger players.
“It is remarkable that Itu, at the age of 36, has been with Chiefs for over 20 years. It speaks to his love for the game, dedication, hard work, and commitment because very few achieve this feat. We hope that he gives it his all in this final season and shares his valuable experience with the younger players in the team,” said Motaung Jr.
