US actor Vin Diesel has been slapped with a sexual battery case by his former assistant Asta Jonasson.
Jonasson was hired by Diesel’s production company One Race Films as his assistant, during the filming of Fast 5 in 2010.
Now, 13-years later, the disgruntled assistant is suing the Fast actor, his sister as well as his production company for sexual battery, wrongful termination and a hostile work environment.
Jonasson accuses the 56-year old star of forcing himself onto her after a night of drunken debauchery, during which the actor was entertaining multiple women in his hotel suite.
Tasked with ensuring Diesel left the hotel without photographers spotting him, Jonasson claims she was left alone with the father of three, who allegedly groped her and masturbated while he pinned her to the wall.
Jonasson claims she was fired by Diesel’s sister Samantha Vincent shortly after the incident because she rejected the actor’s advances.
Vin Diesel, who is in a long-term relationship with his partner and mother of his kids, Paloma Jiménez since 2007, has through his lawyer categorically denied the allegations against him.
Bryan Freedman told US media, “Let me be very clear, Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety. This is the first her has ever heard about this more than 13-year old claim made by a purportedly 9-day employee. There is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations.”
Jonasson says she maintained her silence for this silence out of fear because of Diesel’s influence in the Hollywood movie industry.
She also cites her green card status as an immigrant as the reason she felt powerless to come forward.
The sexual battery case against Vin Diesel comes due to California’s Speak Out Act, which allows victims to file sexual assault cases dating back to 2009.
There have been a slew of sexual assault cases against US stars this year, including Jamie Foxx, Diddy, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
