Minister Zizi Kodwa unveils a new award ceremony: “The South African Creative Arts Awards”.
Minister Zizi Kodwa of the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture has announced the creation of the South African Creative Arts Awards. Additionally, Kodwa declared that South Africa will hold the U19 Cricket World Cup in 2019.
South Africa will now host the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2024, from January 20 to February 11.
Sri Lanka was disqualified from hosting the tournament due to a temporary suspension imposed on the Asian country as a result of government meddling in the sport.
He also announced that a new board is being established at Boxing South Africa in order to bring back the glory days of the spectacular sport.

The Minister provided an update on the state of the sports and creative industries as well as the creative awards during a press conference on Tuesday morning in Tshwane.
“Finally, I am also pleased to announce the new, all-encompassing Awards for the Arts and Culture Sector.
The South African Creative Arts Awards will be the be most desired recognition and cultural recognition in the South African creative industry.
These awards will be bestowed to South Africa’s leading creatives in the various creative sector categories and subdomains, who exhibit outstanding artistic and technical achievement. The South African Creative Arts Awards are for creatives from across cultural domains who push the boundaries of their creative ability and show devotion to excellence.
