Three premature babies have died in Gaza after two of the largest hospitals in the region were forced to shut its doors after generators ran out of fuel over the weekend.
This amid intense Israeli bombardment, shortage of medical supplies including no water, oxygen or electricity.
Al-Shifa andAl-Quds hospitals have now stopped taking in new patients as the situation worsens.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) claims to have delivered 300 liters of fuel to Al-Shifa hospital in the last 24-hours, but says Hamas will not allow the hospital to access the fuel.
“In the last 24 hours, the IDF delivered 300 liters of fuel to the Shifa Hospital’s doorstep, yet the fuel remains untouched after Hamas threatened hospital staff.”

However, the Hamas-run Health Ministry has denied these claims, saying 300 liters of fuel is not enough to power the hospital’s generators for 30-minutes.
The IDF claims that Hamas’ main base is situated under Al-Shifa hospital.
As reported by the Times of Gaza, Israeli warplanes are targeting Al-Shifa hospital where a further 37 premature babies are at risk as the hospital cannot keep incubators on.
The UN reports that at least 137 attacks on healthcare facilities in 36 days have resulted in 521 deaths and 686 injuries.
