The Springboks’ Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour was wild, just ask Captain Siya Kolisi.
Not only was Siya’s personal space invaded when an Eastern Cape fan grabbed him in an attempt to kiss him, but his poor wife was hit on the head with a rugby ball by a fan.
While both incidents are unrelated, South Africans can’t help but feel the ball thrown at Rachel was strategically aimed at her.
Siya has a large female fan base, and the fact that he’s a married, family man doesn’t phase most of them.
As was evident over the weekend’s Bok Trophy Tour, when the Captain had to fend off a desperate female fan who went straight for a kiss on the lips.
Although there was a high police presence during the tour, the eager fan still managed to run towards Siya, jumping and grabbing him around the neck, whilst trying to get a smooch.
Thomas and Skhumba spoke about how embarassing the lady’s behaviour was, and many listeners agreed, with some saying it is sexual harassment.
That, and the fact that Siya is a married family man was disrespectful.

During the Johannesburg leg of the tour, another female fan threw a rugby ball which had a pen taped onto it, towards the team.
The ball evaded the players at the front of the bus, which included Damian Willemse and Siya Kolisi.
Instead, it hurtled directly at poor Rachel Kolisi hitting her square on the head.
The moment was captured by Rugby Pass and shared by Siya Kolisi who joked that he should’ve caught it, but said his wife should have known to “always be expecting the ball.”
Rachel said it was one of those moments, like when you trip and fall in public and pray that no one notices.
Siya said his wife was fine, although the knock had her clutching her head and sitting down immediately.
