Cocaine worth R65m was seized by police in Gqeberha.
South African Police Service (SAPS) has made yet another significant narcotics bust, this time in Gqeberha.
A vessel that had entered the nation from Brazil was found to be carrying cocaine, which had a street value of R65 million.
Following up on information, Gqerberha Seaport personnel intercepted the ship on Thursday while it was docked and discovered 35 bricks of cocaine.
As of right now, no one has been taken into custody, and authorities are looking into possible drug trafficking.

The National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Fannie Masemola said that this is starting to be a normal occurrence as day in and day out they find drugs.
“Intelligence is at work, our members are on the ground throughout the country, clamping down on all forms of criminality. Day in day out we continue to confiscate large quantities of these drugs, SA is not a playground for criminals”, said Gen Masemola.
