Azikhale: Ngizwe Mchunu not guilty of inciting violence during the July Unrest.
Ngizwe Mchunu, a former radio host on Ukhozi FM, was accused of inciting disturbance in July 2021, but he was found not guilty.
Mchunu was charged with violating the Disaster Management Act and COVID-19 laws in addition to the public violence that resulted in property destruction during the riots that occurred in July of 2021.
Mchunu publicly demanded that former president Jacob Zuma, who had been arrested for being in contempt of court, be released.
During the rioting that mostly occurred in the regions of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, over 350 people died.

On Friday, Mchunu appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, where a verdict was rendered.

Jacob Zuma, the former president, was also present to support Mchunu.
