Israel is moving ahead with plans to launch a ground invasion into Gaza, starting with an overnight raid into northern Gaza on Wednesday night, 25 October.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) shared video footage of its tankers infiltrating Gaza, claiming that numerous terrorist cells and infrastructure linked to Hamas were targeted.
“In preparation for the next stages of combat, the IDF operated in northern Gaza. IDF tanks and infantry struck numerous terrorist cells, infrastructure and anti-tank missile lanuch posts.
The soldiers have since exited the area and returned to Israeli territory.”

This after nearly 3-weeks of non-stop airstrikes in Gaza have claimed the lives of over 6 500 Palestinian civilians.

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed plans to launch a ground invasion into Gaza on Wednesday, but did not detail when Israel will begin the incursion or how long this will last.
Netanyahu vowed to not stop until Hamas is extinguished and all hostages taken by the militant group on 07 October are released.
In a televised national address, Netanyahu received the US’ full backing to follow the laws of war in order to protect Israeli civilians.
“We are in the midst of a campaign for our existence.
When we enter Gaza, there will be nothing to stop us. We have only one thing for Hamas, fire. We ask that the population not involved in Gaza to leave.
We will rain down hellfire on Hamas, killing thousands of terrorist. I will not detail when, how, or how many.”

Meanwhile, the families of Israeli civilians taken as hostages by Hamas staged a protest in Tel Aviv, calling for Netanyahu’s resignation, holding posters that read out, “You have blood on your hands, resign.”
