In other news, the 30-year-old star might be living her dream in America, but she hasn’t forgotten her roots. Mbatha is passionate about giving back to the society where she comes from.
She recently donated 20 desktop computers to her former high school in KwaZulu-Natal. Mbatha did it with the help of Bet Software.
Mbatha shared about how not having a computer for the most part of her high school years affected her confidence when she got into university.
” The high school I attended didn’t have computers for the greater part of my schooling years. It’s not until we were in Grade 12 that a company donated computers they were no longer using,” she wrote on Instagram.
” All my essays and projects were handwritten, no matter the amount of pages. This affected my confidence when I got to university and having to adjust to using one for everything!
“I contacted Bet Software to assist me in donating desktops to a school in one of the most remote areas of KwaZulu Natal, eJozini. My team @nomzamo_lighthouse drove for 8 hours with Bet Software to deliver and programme the 20 desktop computers to Miss Nkosi and her learners,” she wrote.

She added that it is wrong to turn a blind eye on the poor.
” We cannot turn a blind eye to the lack of resources that exist especially to those who live in remote towns and villages. So happy and so so grateful we get to stand in the gap of the marginalised,” she wrote.
Apart from helping learners in South Africa, Mbatha is also passionate about empowering the youth.
She has teamed up with TikTok for a programme that will “empower 100 Black content creator with the necessary tools to Build and Amplify their skills as well as their voice on the platform!”
