Zoleka Mandela, a South African author, activist, and granddaughter of former President Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela, has sadly passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The news of her passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes and condolences on social media.
Real estate entrepreneur TT Mbha praised Zoleka for her resilience, acknowledging the “daily struggle she faced while imparting valuable lessons about the importance of time, love, and family through her heartfelt diary updates.”
Somizi, in response to the news, expressed his belief in a joyous reunion on the other side, where Zoleka would be “reunited with her mother, grandmother, and daughter.” While her loss is deeply felt on Earth, he suggests that there is a different feeling awaiting her in the afterlife.
Nandi Madida expressed gratitude to Zoleka for exemplifying a life lived to the fullest. Despite her shattered heart for Zoleka’s children, she believes that they will forever cherish the positive memories and the knowledge of their mother’s immense love for them.
Jennifer Bala, commending Zoleka for her bravery, offered prayers for God’s grace and comfort to be bestowed upon her children. “My dear ZoZo, I am incredibly heartbroken for you and your babies right now. Literally in tears! You were one of the bravest people I know, and you inspired many people on your life’s journey of hope. I pray for God’s grace and comfort for your kids. Rest in heavenly peace.”
Actress Kayise Ngqula said that Zoleka’s legacy will far outlive what sickness took away. “This is an outright reminder to us all that God Himself is here to portray that He will do the impossible in the land of the living. Zo, you were chosen for a much greater purpose, and we are only honored to have walked the same earth as you. Enter the floodgates of heaven with contentment that you did what you came here to do,” she articulated.
