Renowned twins Milly Mashile and Innocent Sadiki, affectionately known as the Cent Twinz, recently opened up about the tragic loss of their parents. In a candid conversation with Owamie on their YouTube channel, Milly offered an account of their parents’ untimely demise.
Their mother’s life was tragically cut short at the tender age of 26. Following her separation from their father, Mashile revealed that she had embarked on a new relationship and was on the verge of tying the knot.
“He proposed marriage, and they were about to get married in a week’s time.”
Everything seemed to be falling into place as their mom’s partner proposed, and they were set to tie the knot in just a week’s time. However, things took a devastating turn when their grandmother received a phone call from a woman who claimed that she had been promised a wedding by their mom’s new partner.
On the day of her lobola negotiations, their mom tragically passed away. She was inside the house, getting ready for the big day, but sadly, she never made it out.
“The weekend that was supposed to be her lobola became her funeral. To this day, we don’t know what happened in that house.”
Mashile shared that this traumatic event had a profound impact on her as she grew into adulthood. Losing her mom at such a young age left her with a deep sense of fear. She vividly remembers being 25 and worrying that she, too, would meet the same fate at 26.
She also shared the horrifying details of her father’s passing. “Our dad was murdered because of his dealings and his choices in life. Eventually, they killed him.”
Describing the unfortunate incident, she said, “They ectricated him, put him in a black plastic bag, and threw him under a bridge.”
Miraculously, he was discovered still alive and rushed to hospital. “They took him to the hospital, and they heard that he had survived. The same guys went to the hospital to finish him off,” said Mashile, noting that her twin sister Innocent was still in matriculation at the time. “It was horrible. What we had to go through that year was a lot. We felt like our safety was compromised,” she detailed.
Despite the hardships, the twins find solace in their 88-year-old grandmother, who holds an irreplaceable place in their hearts. “She means the world to us,” Milly Mashile expressed.
