Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed that BRICS 2024 will be held in Kazan, Russia.
Putin addressed the 15th BRICS Summit currently taking place in Johannesburg via a video link from Moscow, due to the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing a warrant for his arrest for war crimes.
The Russian Head of State declared that he will strengthen the bloc’s role and authority under his chairmanship next year.
“To all the foreign ministers and other agencies, we will establish the relevant rules and procedures so that the role and importance of BRICS will continue to grow.
My colleagues before me have already given positive assessments of the BRICS activities, and in general, certainly we share these assessments.
Our group of 5 countries have rightly proved to be a credible entity on the global arena, with an ever-growing influence no global affairs.
The strategic cause of BRICS is aimed at the future.”
