On July 30, a beautiful moment unfolded at the SunBet Arena as podcaster MacG got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend, Naledi, in front of the “Chillers.”
Speaking exclusively to My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose, MacG described the experience as nothing short of an “out-of-body experience.”
“The entire day leading up to the event, and being surrounded by so much love in the packed arena, made it the best day of his life.”
The proposal was a significant step for the couple, considering that MacG had attempted to pop the question twice before. He first proposed to Naledi when she was just 21, but she declined the offer. Reflecting on those earlier attempts, MacG shared that Naledi was “still finding herself during the first proposal”, and the second time, “insecurities related to marriage held her back, perhaps influenced by experiences of friends and family.”
Now with maturity and wisdom on their side, MacG and Naledi found themselves in the perfect moment to take this important step in their relationship.
959 Breakfast’s Sol Phenduka expressed his delight at the surprise of the evening. He noted that MacG’s decisiveness, proposing within the first year of their meeting, is truly commendable.
“The fact that he knew from the first year I mean, how many guys propose in the first year of meeting someone? The stage was set, and it was just the cherry on top,” said Phenduka.
