It has been two years since the passing of Botswana-born South African actor and producer, Shona Ferguson who passed on after a short illness.
To honor and remember her late husband, Connie Ferguson took to social media to express her emotions. She shared that Shona’s presence is still very much alive in her heart and mind, and their cherished memories continue to hold a special place in her life.
Connie revealed that though she feels Shona’s presence and the reality of never seeing him in his physical form can be overwhelming at times. However, she finds solace in the arms of the Lord, who comforts her and their family, allowing them to move forward, hope, and dream.
The actress continues to cling to Psalm 73:26, which serves as a reminder of where her true strength comes from. She thanked Shona for teaching her to believe, as it is the reason she can stand strong even in the face of loss.
“We still do a lot of the things we did together, travel with the fam, eat your favorite food, play your favorite music, dance, and laugh! Yes, we laugh a lot! And every time we do we can literally hear the echo of your laughter in the midst of ours! You are just an unforgettable man! Truly one of a kind. God loved me so much he gave me you, and although it seems like it was only for 20 years, it was for eternity, because a love like ours never dies. I LOVE YOU FOREVER. Keep resting my SKAT. Till we meet again,” Connie wrote to Shona.
