EFF says two jobs means you’re out-a-here
The EFF has reportedly fired one of its councilors in the Makana Local Municipality for secretly working as a cleaner at Rhodes University as this is against the party’s constitution.
Her dismissal was in line with one of the party’s rules that EFF councilors “holding other remunerative positions with a different employer should effectively resign as EFF councilors and NOT resign from the other employment.”

Kgololo Academy Grade 4 learners are not part of the statistic
The Kgololo Academy is a combined low-fee independent school with 125 scholars in grades 1-7. Their mission is to provide world-class education in Alexandra Township
Nelisiwe Mhlongo is the principal of Kgololo Academy and she says that the school has a success story to tell.
She is confident that 80% of the grade 4 learners at the academy can read with understanding.
“Reading and writing stories are prioritised at the school,” and it all starts in Grade 1.
This is in response to the stats released by the International Reading Literacy Study which state that 80% of Grade 4 learners in South Africa can’t read.
