
Prince Harry and Meghan Markel were almost involved in a ‘near catastrophic’ car crash
According to the Sussex spokesperson, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were involved in a frenzied car chase with paparazzi in New York on Tuesday night that could have had “catastrophic” consequences.
CNN reports that after leaving the Women of Vision Awards at the city’s Ziegfeld Ballroom, the Sussex family was followed by photographers in a convoy that also included Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

The couple’s spokesperson said that despite the fact that no one was wounded, the experience left the couple shaken.
“Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi,”
“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.” the couple’s spokesperson said.

The NYPD’s Julian Phillips, the NYPD’s deputy commissioner for public information told the media that they were able to contain the situation.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard”
He added that on Tuesday evening they “assisted the private security team protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex”and that “there were numerous photographers that made their transport challenging,”
