Moshidi Motshegwa began acting since her early school days. Understanding that there was a
prospect for her in case she made a career of her acting, she attended the National School of the Arts, which, at that time was called Johannesburg Art, Ballet, Drama and Music School. After she graduated from there in 1993, she gained admission into Wits University in 1994, and she studied Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History.

Moshidi has performed in different television projects, some of them include Noah’s Ark, Behind the Badge, ER, Black Sails, Vagrant Queen, The Letter For The King to name a few. She also performed in various feature films most notably Drum, where she played the part of Florence Nxumalo alongside Taye Diggs. She started in director Joseph Sargeant’s film Mandela and De Klerk. She’s gone on to perform in various other film projects such as End Game, Stay With Me.
Moshidi has received numerus nominations and awards in the span of her career. She proudly holds three Gold Horn Awards for best Support and Leading actor in a TV role.
Today, Moshidi Motshegwa is a highly-respected voice artist as well as an influential actor. She has been privileged to work with various directors and artists, with more than twenty-five years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is a proud South African artist representing her craft locally and internationally.

BET Africa’s Original Daily Drama Isono expands its riveting and suspenseful storyline with the introduction of the enigmatic Sarah portrayed by revered South African actress, Moshidi Motshegwa. Sarah is hired by Pastor Abiola, played by Anthony Oseyemi, to work at the church. She enters Vosloorus with an agenda that will leave a devastating wake of death in her path for revenge. Sarah befriends Mary’s righthand man and son Gabriel (Bohang Moeko) and Mam Lili, House of Grace (HOG) helper played by actress (Charmaine Mtinta), to get more information and stir trouble in the Ndlovu household.
“I am excited to offer an interpretation to an African female character who could easily be lost in the cracks of society,” says Moshidi Motshegwa. “I hope the character opens up a conversation that is often difficult to have around the experiences of women, violence and the ramifications of trauma.”

Moshidi joins ISONO’s star-studded cast members including Nthati Moshesh (Mother Mary), Rami Chuene (Jumima), Bohang Moeko (Gabriel), Didintle Khunou (Esther), Natasha Thahane (Millicent), rising stars Kgosi Mongake (Zakwe), Mpule Matlhola(Lesedi) and many more.
