Ramaphosa and other top ANC officials are accused of vote buying during ANC 55th Conference.
Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of the African National Congress (ANC), Gwede Mantashe, and Bejani Chauke, a candidate for treasurer general, have all been accused of vote-buying during the ANC’s 55th National Conference earlier this month.
T. Mdletshe, an ANC member from KwaZulu-Natal, has sent a sharp letter to Kgalema Motlanthe, the ANC’s electoral chairperson, accusing the current leadership of purchasing votes at the NASREC conference.

He continues by saying that if vote buying hadn’t occurred at the conference, the result might have been different.

The ANC’s Electoral Committee has told Thabang Mdletshe, the party’s member from the eThekwini region who alleged that there was vote buying in the recent elective conference that it will probe the matter.
