Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” which turns 40 this week, was the most commercially successful record of all time and helped define an age with its audiovisual aspirations.
It combined rock, pop, and RnB in a way that had never been done before.
Over 100 million copies of “Thriller” have been sold globally since its November 30, 1982, debut.
On November 30, 1922, it was released and propelled the singer to heights beyond what his admirers could have imagined.

We were all listening to the music and unaware that history was being made as each single made its debut and reached the top 10.
It was Jackson’s sixth studio album and his first to debut at the top of the Billboard charts with seven top 10 hits.
