Sonia Mbele has confirmed that her son is already in rehab.
Donell Mbele, according to Sonia Mbele, entered rehab after a vicious physical battle with his ex-girlfriend.
In her response responding to the abuse, the actress clarified a statement that had been misinterpreted by the general public.
Donell’s ex-girlfriend shared a video of her with her eye swollen shut and leaked their private conversations in which he allegedly confessed to beating her up.
The former Generations actress claimed that the abuse incident happened on November 4 and that when she awoke the following morning, she took Donell to treatment.
Drum was informed by Sonia Mbele that she had already taken him for help when the sad situation came to light.
“I did not see this coming. They have been together for a while, and they were so close and in love. Immediately when this happened, I sat them both down and I decided to send my son away to get help.
“I realized that if he is anything like his father, he is going to need help immediately. His father was abusive, but I stayed for nine years because I was in love, I wanted to build, and I thought things would change.
“I am frustrated.
“I’m frustrated because I want to do right by my son, I want to do right by her, and I want to do right by society, but I realise that I am not an octopus.” said Mbele.
A few days after the incident, pictures of Reokeditswe Makete, her son’s ex-boyfriend, were all over social media.
