On Tuesday evening, ManchesterUnited announced that they had reached a mutual agreement to part ways with forward Cristiano Ronaldo effective immediate.
The club thanked Cristiano Ronaldo for his “immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances”, and wishes him and his family well for the future.
United is focused on the future.
“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
In a statement shared, Ronaldo revealed that after conversations with Man United, they agreed to end his contract prematurely.
Ronaldo says he loves Man United and its fans, however, he believes it’s time he takes on a new challenge.
