Jay Leno has sustained “serious” injuries to his face after car bursts into flames.
US Television host Jay Leno has suffered “serious burns” but is in stable condition following a petrol fire.
The former “The Tonight Show” host confirmed to Variety that the incident did occur.
Leno said in a statement: “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

People magazine was the first to report on Leno’s health.
The comedian had to postpone his presence at a finance conference in Las Vegas on Sunday owing to a “serious medical emergency.”
At the time, Leno’s facial burns weren’t made public.
Leno was sent to the hospital on Sunday after a fire broke out in his Los Angeles vehicle garage, according to TMZ.
Leno reportedly suffered burns to his face when one of the vehicles caught fire. For treatment of his wounds, Leno was transferred to the Grossman Burn Center.
