Julius Malema visited the home of Jacob Zuma on Friday for a top-secret “tea party”.
The meeting was organised after Malema reached out to Zuma on Twitter.
The EFF leader did not reveal the purpose of the meeting but told the former president it was in the country’s best interest.
Malema, along with several other party members, landed in Nkandla via helicopter before being driven to Zuma’s Nkandla compound.
Advocate Dali Mpofu was reportedly also in attendance.
Pictures and videos of Malema’s entourage arriving at Zuma’s home were shared on social media
#ZumaMeetsMalema was trending at number one on Friday.

Officials close to the politicians say there is nothing sinister about the meeting.
But analysts believe the pair, who are both feeling the heat from the Zondo Commission, will possibly form an alliance.
Zuma has refused to testify at the inquiry, saying he would rather go to prison. He faces six months in prison and a fine.
Malema has previously said the commission is biased against the former ANC leader.
The EFF has claimed that President Cyril Ramaphosa is using the commission to protect capitalist money.
Malema is reportedly being investigated by the Zondo Commission.
