Back in July, Sithelo Shozi opened up about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of her baby daddy Andile Mpisane.
Following her revelation, Sithelo hasn’t said anything about the alleged abuse.
There has been speculation that she received large sums of money from Andile Mpisane’s family to stay quiet.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Sithelo told her followers that she is still standing by her statement and will be appearing in court at the end of this month.
“Let’s just get this one out of the way. I’m not one to clear any rumours, but let it be known where I stand, once and for all.
“I remain in my truth. I’m very appreciative of every person who has shown me genuine support and aided in the success of all signatories in the petition I put out.”
She says due to the nature of this matter, she has chosen to let her attorneys handle the situation.
“Due to the nature of this matter, I’ve protected myself and my truth with my silence, letting my attorneys deal with it as best as possible. As stated previously, the date of the order is October 31 and I stand firm in all I’ve said. Nothing has changed.
“Gender-based violence is a serious matter in this country and nobody or no bribes could ever erase [the] damage caused by perpetrators.”
