Bathu CEO Theo Baloyi is overjoyed that his 34th store has finally opened and this one is at a very special location at the richest square mile of Africa.
Baloyi’s journey has inspired many upcoming entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams.
Baloyi started the shoe company Bathu in 2015.
Over 34 outlets are officially owned and run by his company throughout South Africa and the SADC region.
In July 2022, he was chosen to serve on the board of the South African Council of Shopping Centers (SACSC).

He expressed his gratitude to everyone who had supported him and believed in his mission in a message on Instagram.
He wrote “From a room in Alex to Diamond walk. We officially opened our 34th store in SANDTON. Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in our vision, selling from the boot of my car to 34 stores. @bathu_sa Walk Your Journey”
