We are continuing from Monday’s topic around doing things alone...
Today we explore another layer of the topic.
Are you one of those people that have a village of people that you can talk to about anything but you choose not to – especially when you are faced with problems?
The Best T in the City wants to find out the reason you choose to stonewall when faced with problems.
A listener shares why it is important to get the right advice.
“Task yourself with doing your own homework because some of the guidance we receive can deter you.
“My friend shot his wife and killed himself. The last time I saw him he appeared to be doing well.
“If you can get the proper guidance you’ll be alright. Us men are terrible at expressing ourselves but women are good at that.
“We only speak about sports and alcohol but hardly speak about what is happening at home.”
Another listener cites the trauma of disappointment as the reason for keeping to himself.
“The trauma of disappointment is the reason why many people, including myself, choose not to ask for help when the help is required.
“When you think about these people around you that you can talk to about anything and they refuse to help, the disappointment can be so deep that you never ask for help again.”
