Former Orlando Pirates assistant coach Fadlu Davids has landed a coaching role at Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow.
Fadlu Davids will be reunited with coach Josef Zinnbauer, who served as his assistant at Orlando Pirates.
Confirming that he’ll be joining the Russian side, Davids captioned an image of him alongside Josef Zinnbauer: “Time to finish what we started.”
Davids is a former PSL strike who played for Maritzburg United. He was twice the highest goalscorer in the South African National First Division.
Another South African coach heading overseas is Pitso Mosimane .
This past Sunday he was unveiled as the new head coach of Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
In June this year, Pitso Mosimane parted ways with Egyptian giants Al Ahly after leading them to two Champions League titles.
It’s excellent seeing South African coaches getting the opportunity to gain experience outside of Mzansi.
