Her six months battle saw her recover from a major stroke that severely affected her speech and as well as her singing.
The 43-year-old musician made her first public appearance since April earlier this month when she went to the Disco Therapy single release party for Tamara Dey, a fellow musician.
Lira took to social media and disclosed that she was given an aphasia diagnosis following her stroke, a language disorder brought on by damage to a particular region of the brain that regulates language expression and comprehension.

Can you believe it’s been 6 months – how time flies. The second and third frame is where I used to be at! I am feeling like myself yet I’m still on my recovery journey.
It’s going to take some time- but it’s reversible! This process has been fascinating for me and although it’s quite challenging at times, I am happy 😊
