Real Housewives of Durban fans should be excited to know that their favourite show has been renewed for a third season.
“The Real Housewives of Durban are coming back with more of the class, glamour, sass, and drama we’ve come to expect from the franchise,” read a statement from Showmax.
It is still uncertain at this stage whether all the castmates will be returning. As we’ve seen at the end of season 1, some housewives found the show to be overwhelming.
In an interview with a South African publication, Ayanda revealed that she felt she was bigger than the show.
“I recently saw a headline that only associated me with the Real Housewives of Durban, and I got annoyed because I have worked so hard building a brand of being a music executive. So for me to be associated with something so small whereas I have worked so hard did not sit well with me, and I decided that the show is not for me as I don’t want to be reduced to just being a housewife, while I have worked so hard for everything that I have,” Ayanda was quoted in part.
Thobile’s future on the show hangs in the balance as viewers have voiced their concerns about her bringing nothing but Isithembu to the show.
LaConco’s reluctance to open up about her love life has left her castmates frustrated in season 2.
At the reunion, Annie revealed that she was cutting Laconco out of her life and the ladies supported her decision.
“When I initially met you I won’t lie, when I saw you on tv I thought you were so charismatic and soo funny. You had such a presence, but it kind of got tainted when you started lying about things.
“I want to like you but now I don’t feel comfortable. I cut people who bring the energy I feel I do not deserve t have in my life,” Annie told LaC.
