Joining my Top 10 at 10 with Tbose is singer/songwriter Russel Zuma.
Zuma is popular for his contribution to songs such as Woza Moya and Thandiwe.
Speaking about his childhood, the musician says he was raised by his grandmother.
“I was raised by my grandmother because my mom passed on when I was 17 years old and my dad left to go and work. She raised me, my three brothers, and two sisters.
Russell shares that once he enters his 40s, he wants to “create a gospel album.”
Like many KZN-based people, the singer is also a victim of the deadly floods from earlier this year.
The flood occurred when he had just arrived home. “We didn’t sleep that evening,” he adds.
Luckily, Russel and his family were able to save their home and are slowly recovering.
Unfortunately for his neighbours, they lost a child through the floods. “They still haven’t found the child yet,” he recalls.
