Groove, a South African phenomenon that has not only birthed a plethora of new artists, genre’s, trends and dance styles, but a culture that has intersected itself through the various communities and cultures in South Africa and abroad.
South Africa’s buzzing night life or groove as we know it is a harmonious cultural movement that places emphasis on uniting people regardless of their race, religious beliefs, cultures and identities; and has proven to transcend the boundaries of time, space and international borders,
Despite its cultural significance, Groove can sometimes be a bit tricky.
On Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana talks to Feel Good listeners and groovers about the do’s and don’t when it comes to grooving.
Here are a few Groove Do’s and Don’ts shared by Feel Good listeners:
- Don’t ditch your friends for a Guy or Girl.
- Don’t take drinks for a stranger.
- Don’t pass out!
- Don’t cause unnecessary fights.
- Don’t pass the aux if you have bad music taste.
- Do check up on your friends.
- Do bring enough money.
- Do organise transport or have a designated driver for the night.
- Eat before you drink.
- Always look fly!
- Always have a meeting point.
