The pursuit of happiness has been proven time and again to be a detriment rather than beneficial.
Chasing happiness can have a negative effect on one’s mental health and lead to anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
A new study revealed that obsessively focusing on happiness can be an obstacle in your life.
The study also shows that allowing yourself to experience your emotions, whatever they may be, with an accepting attitude could be a useful tool for pursuing happiness
“Now, do you think it’s true that if you want to be happy you should stop chasing happiness?” This was the question posed to The Best T in the City listeners.
Kaya 959’s MaBlerh calls in to share how he looks at headphones.
“People look at happiness as this concept that is supposed to be a consistent feature in your life. And that is why a lot of people get disappointed by it.
“I’ve chosen in my own life – to look at life as how the days go by. There are rainy days, there are sunny days, there are gloomy days, and all of that but it doesn’t take what the year is.
“Within my life, this is how I look at it- I decided to accept that there will be bad days and there will be good days. I bask in those moments and deal with them. That has led to a much happier life for me,” he shared.
