The Democratic Alliance has announced a reshuffle on Thursday morning.
The party announced that they have appointed Siviwe Gwarube as the party’s new chief whip in the National Assembly.
Gwarube replaces Natasha Mazzone as the head of the official opposition’s parliamentary caucus.
Mazzone will now be the national security advisor to party leader John Steenhuisen.

Mazonne released a statement congratulating Siviwe Gwarube.
She wrote “I am delighted to announce that the DA caucus has today elected Siviwe Gwarube to serve as the Party’s Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament.”
“I would like to congratulate Siviwe on her election and look forward to a great term working together. The DA caucus has full confidence that she will serve in this position with the same distinction as she is doing in her capacity as Shadow Minister of Health as well as National Spokesperson”

Other changes include Dianne Kohler-Barnard becoming the new Shadow Minister for Communications for the DA and Noko Masipa becoming the new Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development.
Alongside Cilliers Brink, Solly Malatsi is back in his role as the party’s national spokesperson.
