The family of 6-year old Shanawaaz Asghar is praying for his safe return after he was kidnapped by six armed men on Wednesday, 17 August.
Police have launched a manhunt for the 6 men who forced the boy into a silver VW Polo at 08h00.
Shanawaaz was outside his home in Kensington, Western Cape and was on his way to school at the time.
He was last seen wearing his navy blue school tracksuit, with black shoes and a white short-sleeved shirt.
According to police, no ransom demands have been made and the public is urged not to share false information in this regard.
Any misinformation may jeopardise the life of Shanawaaz Asghar, and also cause the family to experience further trauma.
Kensington CPF have shared that police have made progress and have already implemented a 72-hour action plan to track down the boy.
