In a rather surprising turn of events, Advocate Malesela Teffo has revealed that he will continue representing accused 1 to 4 and will be in court on 2 August 2022 in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
The announcement comes after Advocate Malesela Teffo withdrew from the case earlier this month.
Teffo cited harassment by the State and the court as his reason. The Advocate has accused presiding Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela of being biased.
“It’s now an opportune moment to announce as the counsel for accused 1 to 4, I withdraw as counsel, based on the harassment that I’m receiving from the State and the court.”

He also claims there is a bigger scheme to cover-up the murder of Senzo Robert Meyiwa, which was according to Adv. Teffo, orchestrated by the President himself.
When asked for proof of this, Adv. Teffo evaded journalists and said there would be a press conference held soon where more details will follow.
Adv. Teffo says “It is time to deal with the institutionalized corruption within the SAPS and the NPA.” Even if it means putting his safety at risk.
He also said he will respond “to these sangomas sent to mess with us and the case.”
In a letter written to the Pretoria High Court, Adv. Teffo said the reason he withdrew from the case was that the judge was using muthi to his detriment.
