South Africans and people across the world all grow up with a set of beliefs about how the world works and one such belief is the influence of old people’s words in your life.
Whether you believe it or not, there are many people who grow up being told of the existence of prophecies, curses and witchcraft amongst other things.
In Setswana ‘Go tshwara ka pelo’, is a common term used to describe when someone has in some way manifested a way to block someone else’s success.
In Isizulu ‘Isiqalekiso’, happens when someone has spoken negativity into your life, this as Sizwe referred to on the show, was the reason why when growing up they were told to never upset elders in the community.
