At this year’s Mzansi Kwaito House Music Awards (MKHMA), Kwaito legend Bonginkosi ‘Zola 7′ Dlamini will receive be receiving recognition for his work in the music industry
The seasoned Kwaito star will get his first Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions to both the music business and South Africa as a whole.

According to the CEO of MKHMA, Perfecta Malinga it there has never been a perfect time ti tto honour the legendary Kwaito musician who touched many lives in South Africa and the world.
“We relate to Zola 7, we all know that the only Kwaito legend that regards to 7 is him and we are celebrating 7 years this year.”
“It’s all about love … we are a non-profit organisation but we don’t want to honour him with just the trophy that we plan to give him, we’re still knocking on doors to see how much more we can give him.”
“We decided to honour him while he is still alive to give him the lifetime achievement award and tell him that we love him and respect what he’s done, not just for the music industry but for SA,” said Malinga.

The award event, scheduled for November 26, has historically been hosted at Sun City in North West, but this year it is anticipated to welcome a number of Kwaito legends in the city of gold, including Spikiri, Mapaputsi, and others.
Since the awards have been around for seven years, this year’s theme is Hola 7, Ziwu 7.
