The Eff is holding a Youth Day Commemoration in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, on Thursday, 16 June.
Taking place at the Makwarela Stadium, the event will start at 11h00.
Commander-In-Chief of the party, Julius Malema is expected to address some of the issues affecting the youth.
Ahead of the Youth Day Commemoration, Deputy President of the party, Floyd Shivambu spoke to the community of ward 26.
Shivambu was seen in Mahematshena, in Thulamela, engaging in discussions with members of the community about lack of water, electricity and jobs.
“June 16 is a very important day for the history of South Africa. In 1967, young people confronted the apartheid government. Youth as young as 12-years old, confronted the apartheid regime. They refused to be taught in Afrikaans.”

The EFF is calling on youth to join in the commemoration event to remember the youth who fought for their liberation.
Their firm stance on the decolonisation of education is echoed by Malema who continues to be a strong advocate for free education and the plight of the youth.
“Decolonisation of education does not mean being taught in our mother tongue but the liberation of the syllabus.”

Malema’s message to the youth this year is for them to “continue to fight for what rightfully belongs to you.”
